Job description:
We are a LTC pharmacy with locations in VA and NC serving the needs of nursing/ALF facilities throughout these states. We opened our location in Manassas in November 2011 and are looking to expand our existing business.
The primary job description includes assisting Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications; mixing pharmaceutical preparations; preparing prescribed tablets and capsules; typing prescription labels; packing totes for delivery to skilled nursing facilities; receiving and storing incoming supplies.
Daily shifts M-F; weekend rotations.
Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
State Technician license required; National Certification preferred. Candidate must agree to work toward national certification as condition of hire.
1-2 years previous technician experience, preferably in a LTC setting.
Understanding of medical terminology and calculations; knowledge of medication brand and generic names; strong oral and written communication skills.
In addition to these general requirements, we seek team players with a positive, "can do" attitude who can work well in a team environment.
